Pinney Beach Skeleton
The discovery of a skeleton eroding out of the rock hard sandstone at Pinney Beach caused quite a stir. The Skeleton was brought to our attention one day by "Flashy" who regularly walks that stretch of beachfront between Charlestown and Sunshine's.

The area of the find may have been a cemetery in an earlier period and was likely to have been inland a hundred yards or more, but today is exposed to direct battering by the waves.

The crania had eroded away or been dislodged by hurricane long ago.
